Did you know you have an established Residents’ Association right here in West Addlestone?      Are you a member?    MEMBERSHIP

We support with issues of local concern or celebrate good things developing. We are also looking at increasing our social events in the future. We produce two newsletters a year and membership is only

£2 per household per year.

It is widely accepted that Residents’ Associations promote a sense of community spirit.  Last year we asked our membership, of approx.

1500 households, if they still thought we were relevant in the 21st century and the overwhelming decision was “yes”.

We work together to represent the interests of the West Addlestone community - both homeowners and tenants.

It gives members a voice. How the voice may be heard has changed just as much as everything else over almost five decades.

We have fought battles and won, some outcomes may not be what we’d hoped for, but we have left our imprint. We have spoken at tribunals, provided information and helped where there are concerns. Committee members attend a variety of local meetings covering planning, transport, health, access liaison, community partnerships and other issues that arise locally or further afield.

The Association is a member of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) and also affiliated to other local community associations.

We know that local councils do a lot of good but often residents feel things are unfair and want to shout a message loud and clear. Strength comes with numbers, so do think about joining or re-joining us.

Do talk to us about your concerns or what is great about your road.

Our newsletters are distributed by a very supportive team of road reps. This helps maintain the personal contact, which is greatly valued by our members.

Many national issues are reflected locally so we would really like to hear from you and have you on board.
